We offer a network of instructors and volunteer guides, each with more than 5 years’ experience in the field.

FAQ

  1. Medical Grade Cannabis (MGC) can only be prescribed by a licensed physician and is officially issued by the Ministry of Health (MOH) based on a license obtained by the patient.
  2. If you are using MGC, you may only possess the amount specified on your license.
  3. MGC should be used only in your home, according to your physician’s instructions and in accordance with relevant laws.
  4. When using and possessing cannabis, you must take special precautions both for your wellbeing and for that of others in your surroundings.
  5. MGC is a medication prescribed by a professional health practitioner, exclusively for patients suffering from a wide range of ailments for which its use has been approved.
  6. Your prescription is only for you to use. Do not ever share your medication with friends or family members — it is against the law to do so.
  7. Store your medicine safely, out of the reach of others, including children and pets.
  8. Always follow your certified health practitioner’s instructions regarding usage, dosage, and other aspects of your treatment.

MGC can be smoked, vaporized or ingested.

Effects and dosage may vary depending on the intake method.

We recommend consulting with your health care practitioner to identify the best strain, dosage, and intake method for your particular condition.

There are many different strains of MGC, with new strains being developed all the time. Each strain offers a unique set of medical benefits based on its genetic makeup. These are some of the most widely used strains:

Sativa

Best choice for daytime use. It has energizing and stimulant effects. It helps reduce migraines, pain, and nausea, and leads to an increased appetite. Potential reported side effects include hyperactivity and anxiety.

Indica

For patients who require a relaxant or sleep aid, or those who suffer from arthritis, glaucoma, muscle tension, or inflammation.

Hybrid

A hybrid of the two strains above (Indica and Sativa), creating a different combination of the dominant characteristics of both. Hybrid strains can support a large variety of medical uses. Hybrid strains are created to produce effects that are normally associated with either Indica or Sativa strains.

High CBD

Strains with high CBD have milder euphoric effects than other strains. These strains are created for patients seeking to reduce inflammation, muscle spasms, and insomnia.

The price of MGC is set by the Ministry of Health.

One month’s supply (regardless of quantity) – 370 NIS (including VAT)

Home delivery within Israel (regardless of geographic location) – 100 NIS (including VAT)

Training – 120 NIS (including VAT)

The license you received indicates the date on which it expires. The Ministry of Health requires 45 business days to handle renewal of a license. It is essential to take this into account and make an appointment, well before your current license expires, with the physician who sent the recommendation for the original license. License renewal is carried out via an online form which the physician sends to the Ministry of Health. You cannot obtain MGC without a valid license!

Three business days after submitting the request to the Ministry of Health, you should call them at 08-6268000 to confirm that they received it. After the request is approved, the original license comes to us and we notify the license owner within 48 hours from when the renewed license reaches us.

It is possible to add the option of transport to the license, that is, adding another person (preferably a family member) who will be authorized to come to the distribution center and collect the medication. To add this option to the license, you must come to the distribution center during operating hours, deposit the original license together with a written request to add transport, and include a photocopy of the intended transporter’s identity card. The Ministry of Health requires about 45 days to handle a request for adding transport to a license.

If the dosage assigned to you is not enough to last you for the whole month, you must ask the physician who initially requested the MGC to request an increase in dosage. The Ministry of Health will only increase dosage in response to a request from the physician.

Once a month, you receive a quantity of MGC to last for the whole month. Your distribution date is one month from the previous date of distribution. If the date comes out on a day when there is no distribution, the distribution will be postponed to the next available distribution day (you will not be able to obtain the medication prior to the designated date). If you did not take the medication for a particular month, you cannot receive that month’s amount the following month. Quantities of MGC cannot be carried over from one month to the next.

The Ministry of Health has ruled that a patient whose license is lost or stolen cannot receive medication until a new license is issued. If your license was lost or stolen, you must go to your local police station and file a complaint of theft. A copy of the complaint must be sent to the Ministry of Health, together with a personal letter requesting renewal of the license following theft.

When renewing the license

When you visit your physician to renew the license, ask him or her to write the company name “Better” in the space “Name of Supplier”, along with a personal, dated letter with the physician’s stamp, together with the original license (it is important to photocopy the license and keep a copy for yourself).

These two documents should be sent to the Ministry of Health to this fax number: 02-6474810. Check that the documents were received by calling 08-6268000. The process of switching suppliers takes about 60 business days.

One month after receiving the medication

To switch suppliers, you must get the original license to us. You can do this one of two ways:

  • The preferred and safest way is to bring it to the distribution center (15 KK”L St., Bat Yam) and give it to us directly.

Alternatively, you can come to some location in the Tel Aviv area, after arranging a meeting ahead of time by calling the customer service center (telephone 03-6355101).

  • Send us the original license via a courier service.
